Top Five Best Golf Courses in Cabo San Lucas

September 18, 2025

Cabo isn't just about beaches and nightlife, it's also a golfer's paradise. Desert views, ocean holes, and courses designed by the greats make it one of the best places to play. Here are five courses we recommend, plus villas nearby so you can stay close to the action.

1. Puerto Los Cabos Golf Club

Just outside San Jose del Cabo, this 27-hole course was designed by Jack Nicklaus and Greg Norman. You'll get ocean views, rolling fairways, and even comfort stations serving tacos and margaritas.

Pro Tip: The food and drinks at the comfort stations are included in your round, so make a stop or two.

2. Palmilla Golf Club – Ocean Course
Palmilla is the “Grand Dame” of Cabo golf and the first Jack Nicklaus course in Latin America. Eight holes play right along the Sea of Cortez, so the views are as good as the golf.

Pro Tip: Book a morning tee time, the view of sunrise over the Sea of Cortez is unbeatable.

3. Cabo del Sol – Desert Course

Cabo del Sol has two courses, but the Desert Course is open to the public. Designed by Tom Weiskopf, it’s wide and forgiving but still has tricky greens. Desert, ocean, and mountain views make every hole stand out.

Pro Tip: Keep your camera ready, whales are often spotted offshore in winter.

4. Cabo Real Golf Club

This Robert Trent Jones Jr. design has hosted several pro tournaments. The front nine runs along the ocean, while the back nine winds through desert hills.

Pro Tip: The PGA Senior Slam was played here, so bring your A-game.

5. Cabo San Lucas Country Club

Close to downtown and the marina, this course is easy to get to and more affordable than most in Cabo. It’s a good choice for groups with mixed skill levels.

Pro Tip: This is the only public course with a clear view of the Arch.
