CDC Requires COVID Testing

Starting January 26th, the CDC is requiring all international travelers, including US Citizens, to provide proof of a negative COVID test in order to enter the United States.

According to new CDC Guidelines:

A verifiable test result must be in the form of written documentation (paper or electronic copy) of a laboratory test result. Testing must be performed using a viral test (NAAT or antigen), and negative results must be provided to the airline prior to boarding. The test result documentation must include information that identifies the person, a specimen collection date and the type of test. A negative test result must show test was done within the 3 days before the flight.

Sun Cabo is pleased to offer the following options:

In-Villa Antigen Testing by medical staff at a cost $70 per person with a $35 site visit fee. 5 tests or more and the site fee is waived. Results delivered electronically in 2 - 4 hours. If your booking is 3 days long, we suggest you get tested on arrival.

Hospital Antigen Testing. For this service you need to go to one of several hospitals and the cost is 1200 MXN (~60 USD). You will have your results within 1 hour.

Hospital PCR Test: The Gold Standard of tests. Administered in a healthcare setting and the cost is 5500 MXN (~275 USD). Results are provided in 24-48 hours depending on the facility.

In addition, rapid tests at the Airport and throughout the Los Cabos corridor will be available soon for approximately $50 USD. Once we have more details on locations and an exact amount we will update you.
