Raven Cabo San Lucas Country Golf Club, located closest to Cabo San Lucas and is the longest golf course in the area. Formerly known as the "The Cabo San Lucas Country Club" is designed by Pete Dye & Roy Dye. This impressive Cabo course and country club features a clubhouse with pro shop, restaurant and tennis courts. It also boasts of well regarded service and spectacular natural scenery especially the views of El Arco at "Land's End" and "San Lucas Bay". The Raven Country Club is very close to the downtown Cabo and is approximately 5-7 minutes by taxi.

Layout

The country club was hit by Juliet hurricane in 2001 and many parts had to reconstructed. Intrawest Golf Group stepped in to reconstruct the course. In the process, they not only restored the course?s splendor but they took it to the next level. The Raven Country Club golf course cannot boast of Oceanside holes like the Cabo Del Sol and other cabo golf courses although it does makes up for it with great service and other natural scenery. The standout is of course, the famous Lands End rock formation.

Hole Description

The front and back nines are the work of the members of the Dye family, so the course plays like two different courses. The Raven Golf Club has the typical characterstic of Dye designs. It has deep waste bunkers, subtle terracing up hillsides and holes built into the natural desert terrain. The most challenging hole is the 607 yard, par-5 7th hole, around a lake; it's the longest hole in Mexico.

Summary

The course is designed to offer a variety of play options, from a short course played on the front tees to a super long course with numerous bunkers and hazards. The whole course was redone in 2002 by the Dye family, Although the layout is essentially the same, some greens have moved slightly and some holes are a little shorter than before, but all of the bunkers and hazards have remained, and the course is considered now better.
