Yacht Spotting

My kids don’t seem to, perhaps they just have too much going on. One hobby that I never understood but perhaps had its roots in the days of classic steam engines was Train Spotting. Boys and their fathers would sit on platforms with a thermos and sanwiches scribbling locomotive numbers into little books.
That hobby might be almost doen but now it seems a similar pursuit has developed called Yacht Spotting. Websites are devoted to this activity with people obsessed enough to now plot routes of some of the most beautiful and large private yachts in Cabo as well.
Los Cabos attracks some of the most beautiful yachts in North America and this week we have seen the return of Dennis Washington’s Attessa III. This graceful ship was refitted in North Vancouver and she is well known to yacht spotters and marine types along the West Coast. Cabo has become a favorite stopping off point for the Washington family who do not always stay on the yacht but often come ashore to stay in one of the luxury villas Cabo has to offer.
