Cabo del Sol Desert Course in Cabo San Lucas is on the inland side of the corridor., CABO DEL SOL DESERT COURSE is said to be "user-friendly" golf course. It is a 18-hole target-style ocean/desert golf course located in 1800-acre Cabo del Sol golf resort stretching along a mile of coastline. It is the 2nd championship Cabo golf course to be built there distinguished by lovely ocean views at each hole.

Layout

The golf course has large landing areas and some forced carries with subtle elevation changes. The course varies in length from 5,300 to 7,100 yards. The first couple of holes are good enough to get you going and then the next holes are in the quiet and peaceful desert. The Cabo del Sol desert golf course has a interesting mix of some long par 5's and then some real short par 4's which gives the golfer a chance to score well. Weiskopf has done a great job on the whole course layout.

Hole Description

The back nine plays about 500 yards longer than the front so it would be good strategy to score low on the front as there are higher chances of scoring badly on the backside. The longest hole at Cabo del Sol Desert course is 625 yards, par 5 while the holes 16, 17 and 18 are regarded as " the finest three finishing holes all in of golf" by legendary Jack Nicklaus.
