A. The
plan will reimburse the non-refundable, pre-paid payments or

condition waiver and how can I qualify?

The Pre-existing medical condition exclusion will be waived if: 1)
this plan is purchased within 15 calendar days of initial trip
payment. This is applicable to all coverages contained in the
policy. 2) the amount of trip cost insured must equal the full cost
of all non-refundable trip arrangements. 3) the cost of any
subsequent arrangement(s) added to the same trip are insured
within 15 days of the date of payment or deposit for any subsequent

If you purchase the optional Umbrella Package with the base plan,

The coverage is primary. There are no deductibles or co-payments.
Q. How large of a trip can I cover?
A.
With the Cruise, Tour and Travel plan, you can insure trip costs up

need to purchase the insurance to be covered?

Yes. The cost is based on a per person trip cost, therefore each
individual is covered separately. Only those listed as travelers on
the enrollment form will be covered.
Q. Do I
need to cover all trip arrangements?
A.
Yes, to receive maximum coverage under the plan, you must purchase
insurance to cover all of your pre-paid non-refundable trip
arrangement, and you must purchase within 15 days of your initial
trip payment.
Q. Is there an additional charge
for trips over 30 days?
A. Yes, if your trip is longer than 30 days, an
additional $5 per day per person for the days over 30 is required.
Q. When does the coverage begin?
A.
The Trip Cancellation coverage begins at 12:01 am local time at the
location of the insured on the day after the Enrollment Form and
payment is received by AIG Travel Guard. All other coverages will
begin at 12:01 am local time at the location of the insured on the
scheduled trip departure date shown on the Enrollment Form provided
required payment has been received.
Q. How do I file a claim?
A.
To file a claim, you can call AIG Travel Guard between the hours of
7:00 am and 7:00 pm Central Time and start the process with a Claims
Analyst. The analyst will explain what needs to be provided
to process your claim. The form will then be faxed or mailed to you
to provide that information.
Q. What if I want a refund?
A.
AIG Travel Guard is committed to providing products and services
that will exceed expectations. If You are not completely satisfied,
You can receive a refund provided 1) it is not past the original
departure date; 2) you have not submitted a claim; and 3) requests
must be submitted to AIG Travel Guard in writing within 15 days of
the effective date of your coverage. If past 15 days, premium and
service fees are non-refundable.

Our Gold plan is our most popular package of travel

applicable to all coverages contained in the policy. 2) the amount
of trip cost insured must equal the full cost of all
non-refundable trip arrangements. 3) the cost of any subsequent
arrangement(s) added to the same trip are insured within 15 days of
the date of payment or deposit for any subsequent trip arrangement(s).
4) you are medically able to travel when you purchase this coverage.
For Trip Cancellation or Trip Interruption coverage, the
pre-existing condition exclusion will be waived up to the first
$15,000 of trip cost per person.
Q. If I do not enroll
within the 15 days, how long do you look back for Pre-Existing
medical conditions?
A. 180 days preceding and including the coverage effective
date.
Q. Does everyone going on the trip need
to purchase the insurance to be covered?
A. Yes. The cost is based
on a per person trip cost, therefore each individual is covered
separately. However, with the Essential Expanded plan, one child age
17 and under is covered at no additional cost for each insured
adult, but you must list them as a traveler on the enrollment form
and child must be related to the primary insured. Only those listed
as travelers on the enrollment form will be covered.
Q. How large of a trip can I cover?
A. With Essential
Expanded, you can insure trip costs up to $100,000 per person.
Q. How long do my bags need to be
delayed before I will be covered for baggage delay?
A. 24 hours or more.
Q. Will the plan reimburse for the
single supplement if my traveling companion cancels?
A. If a traveling
companion cancels and you are held responsible for a single
supplement, you would be covered for the change in the per person
occupancy rate as long as the reason for the cancellation was
covered under the terms of the plan.
Q. I am 55 and my husband is 60, can we
enroll for coverage under the same plan?
A. Yes.
Q. When does the coverage begin?
A. The Trip Cancellation
coverage begins at 12:01 am local time at the location of the
insured on the day after the Enrollment Form and payment is received
by AIG Travel Guard. All other coverages will begin at 12:01 am
local time at the location of the insured on the scheduled trip
departure date shown on the Enrollment Form provided required
payment has been received.
Q. How do I file a claim?
A. To file a claim, you
can call AIG Travel Guard between the hours of 7:00 am and 7:00 pm
Central Time and start the process with a Claims Analyst. The
analyst will explain what needs to be provided to process your
claim. The form will then be faxed or mailed to you to provide that
information.
Q. What if I want a refund?
A. AIG Travel Guard is
committed to providing products and services that will exceed
expectations. If You are not completely satisfied, You can receive a
refund provided 1) it is not past the original departure date;
2) you have not submitted a claim; and 3) requests must be
submitted to AIG Travel Guard in writing within 15 days of the
effective date of your coverage. If past 15 days, premium and
service fees are non-refundable.
