Visiting Los Cabos doesn’t require fluency in Spanish, but knowing a few key words can enhance your experience, especially if you plan to explore beyond your Sun Cabo Vacations villa. Here's a quick refresher on some basics that could be useful during your trip.

Pronunciation Basics:
Vowels are consistent in Spanish, though they sound a bit different from their English equivalents:
  • A = 'ah' (as in 'awe')
  • E = long 'a' (as in 'hay')
  • I = long 'e' (as in 'keep')
  • O = short 'o' (as in 'or')
  • U = 'oo' (as in 'zoo')

Consonants to Watch:
  • B and V are often interchangeable, sounding like 'V.'
  • G sounds like 'H' unless it's followed by 'U.'
  • H is always silent.
  • J also sounds like 'H.'
  • RR requires a rolling 'r.'
